How much does a small business website cost?
A Starter website of up to 5 pages starts from £300. A Business website with a page for each service starts from £1,000, and an online shop starts from £600. Every price is a starting point, and you get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts.
How long does it take to build a website?
A Starter website takes 2–5 working days once your text and images are ready. A Business website takes 5–10 working days, and an online shop 5–14.
Do I own my website and domain?
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name from day one, and the accounts behind the site can sit with your business too. If you ever move on, you take everything with you.
What do you build websites with?
Whatever fits your site best. Most are built with Astro for fast, lightweight pages, with React or Vue for interactive parts. If you want to edit content yourself, we add a content editor such as EmDash or a headless CMS such as Sanity. Web apps get the back end that suits them, for example Go, Python or Node.js with TypeScript, and a database such as PostgreSQL. Online shops run on Shopify or a free alternative, depending on your budget and catalogue. We can build on WordPress when we must, but we generally advise against it due to performance and security issues.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site launches with technical SEO and help setting up your Google Business Profile, so Google can find and understand your pages. Where you rank then depends on work that continues after launch, such as customer reviews, other websites linking to yours, new and useful content, and keeping the site fast and up to date. We can help with each of these, and a care plan keeps the technical side in shape.
