I'm Evan, founder of SortaSystems. I take over the website, email, cloud and automation a small business runs on, and I stay responsible for all of it as the business grows.
You deal with me from the first call to the last fix. I'm based in Colchester and work with businesses across the UK, Europe and the US.

Ten years designing systems that could not afford to go down
I spent more than ten years in cybersecurity and telecoms, designing solutions within platforms that handle more than a billion transactions a day. At that scale a small mistake can affect thousands of people.
Those companies have tools, systems and people most small businesses go without. Teams spend a lot of time planning the system architecture, testing it and reviewing its security, and they maintain it regularly before incidents happen.

Why I started SortaSystems

I want to change that
In cybersecurity I saw the same pattern again and again. When a phishing campaign came through, the compromised sender was often a small business. Attackers had taken over a mailbox and were using it to send malicious email to that business's own customers and suppliers.
The websites told the same story. A WordPress site goes up, nobody updates it, and a few years later attackers use it to host malicious content. The owner often finds out last. Small businesses seldom have the time, the people or the budget to maintain and secure their systems, and attackers know it.
I started SortaSystems to help close that gap, with email that is set up and secured properly and websites that are kept up to date. Each secured mailbox is one less source of phishing. A fast, pleasant website also turns more visitors into customers, so the same work protects the business and helps it grow.
That standard used to take an IT department. The balance has changed. Cloud services, modern tools and AI-assisted development mean one experienced engineer can now deliver it at a price a small business can afford.
